Reminiscence, from memory to matter
Established in Montreal since 2007, Ceramik B. celebrates the sculptural and mineral approach to ceramics that defines Basma's work. Her practice is rooted entirely in hand-building and traditional construction techniques. Her pieces, vessels and wall works, emerge from a slow process, shaped by a deep respect for matter and refined form.

Basma celebrates clay. Working with textured, sandy stoneware, she makes of every handprint and every variation a witness to an ongoing dialogue, a search for meaning and restraint, where the object becomes a space of silence, rhythm, and resonance.
